Glamour at the Golden Globes 2021

A virtual red carpet you say? Old Hollywood Glamour? It’s the 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony!

The event, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler from socially distanced stages, certainly did not disappoint. It was held in a hybrid format – alternating between New York’s Rainbow Room, the Beverly Hilton in LA and the stars’ own homes. Viewers at home were treated to some beautiful looks, so here are some of my top picks from the night.

Who doesn’t love a green turtle neck. Here’s Leslie Odom, Jr. in Valentino Couture.

Strapless red gown? Yes, Maria Bakalova nailed it. Here she is in a Spring/Summer 2021 Armarni Privé gown.

Lily Collins didn’t take home an award for Emily in Paris, but she did take home an award in my eyes for one of the best dressed looks. Here she is in Saint Laurent.

One of the coolest looks of the night: Anya Taylor Joy. A beautiful green Dior Haute Couture dress.

Dan Levy rocking this Valentino Couture ensemble.

Nominee Elle Fanning opted for an ice-blue silk Gucci gown complete with a pooling train and dramatic cape.

Regina King, nominated in the Best Director category, opted for a sequinned Louis Vuitton gown with one-shoulder detail.

The wonderful star of The Crown Josh O’Connor looking regal in Loewe.

A pleated silk skirt embroidered with gold braids: Nicole Kidman‘s custom Louis Vuitton gown.

Her first Golden Globe nomination and the dress of her ‘dreams’ – Daisy Edgar Jones in Chanel.

One word: flares. Jared Leto in Gucci.

Simple yet fabulous in this LBD. Vanessa Kirby opted for a Gucci velvet dress with leather straps for the event.

Satchel Lee and her brother Jackson Lee looking amazing in Gucci.

Colours and fringes, what more could you need! It’s Susan Kelechi Watson in a Georges Hobeika design.

Amanda Seyfried treated us to some Old Hollywood Glamour with this Oscar de la Renta dress complete with silk flower detail.

The marvellous Laverne Cox in a custom Thai Nguyen gown. Look at those statement sleeves!
